If you are interested in a diverse and possibly ongoing role then this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will fly into Adelaide and then fly out to the communities from there. You will be provided with a car which will allow you to travel between one or two clinics to provide continuity of care to these remote sites. Ideally we would like a GP who is keen to commit to 4-6 weeks with a view to then returning on a rotational basis once or twice a year, the service is open to the length and frequency of blocks.
The clinic is open from 9am – 5pm however as this is a remote role the GP is on-call 24/7 for emergencies. Support is offered from multiple nurses, Indigenous health workers and the Royal Flying Doctors Service. Software used is communicare and training can be provided. Remote health and emergency medicine experience are a requirement for this role. Travel, a car and accommodation in the community will be provided.
- FRACGP or equivalent
- Registration with AHPRA
- Current emergency medicine certificate (ALS, REST etc.)
- Remote health experience
- National police clearance
