You are a GP Specialist leader, with proven clinical expertise. Passionate about whānau-centred care, you bring the skills to mentor and guide a multidisciplinary team while ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-based, and culturally responsive services. Building strong relationships comes naturally to you, and you enjoy collaborating with local providers, health partners, and community organisations to achieve seamless, holistic care for whānau.

In this role, you will:

• Oversee clinical governance, quality improvement, and incident reviews.
• Lead, mentor and development performance across the clinical workforce.
• Partner with PHOs, Te Whatu Ora, and local health and social services to ensure integrated, wraparound support.

Mō te Whakahaere- About the Organisation
This position offers the chance to combine clinical leadership with community impact that honours te ao Māori and strengthens hauora. 

Based in Taranaki, you’ll work across two well-equipped medical centres located 20 minutes apart. Together they provide a full spectrum of primary care services, including family and occupational health, minor procedures, vaccinations, and in-house pathology. Supported by a skilled and dedicated team, you’ll have the resources to lead with purpose while enjoying the lifestyle that comes with being nestled between Te Maunga and the north island’s stunning west coast.
