Are you ready for a rewarding and challenging role in a completely different setting from your usual GP clinic? We require a locum GP to cover two weeks in a Northern Territory correctional facility. This role will require you to be confident in your dealings with patients and the requests they may have. The role is Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm, these hours must be adhered to as time is put aside in the afternoon for administration during the muster. The work is broad and challenging, delivering acute clinic care, chronic disease management and public health programs in a cross-cultural setting.
The facility is a 25 minute drive from Darwin CBD and a car will be provided for this journey. Darwin itself is has balmy nights, colourful characters and outdoor adventures. As well as markets, crocodiles and cruises, you'll find strong Aboriginal cultures there, as evidenced by the array of languages spoken in the streets, and the vibrant Aboriginal art that fills the city's galleries and museums.
