Mō te Whakahaere - About the Organisation This is a modern purpose-built, RNZCGP Accredited facility located in the heart of Invercargill. This small southern town includes 52,000 people - 13,500 of them are enrolled patients. They operate Monday to Friday and use the latest version of Medtech Evolution. They also utilize Manage My Health patient portal for results, booking appointments and ordering repeat scripts. The have strong collegial relationships with primary and secondary services, Labs, Radiology, Dental, Pharmacy, Physio and other allied health services all within a 5-minute walk.
Internal services include:
- Minor surgery, with fully equipped operating room
- Women’s health, procedures and screenings
- Preventative care and checks
- Sexual wellbeing
- Mental health assessments
- Diabetes and spirometry clinics
- Triage Area, daily acute visits and same-day appointments
Their multidisciplinary team includes GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Prescribers (primary care & community), clinical and healthcare assistants, administrative staff, a Practice Manager and a Business Manager.
They’re dedicated to collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous improvement via various health equity initiatives and competencies. Staff training includes Te Tiriti o Waitangi, cultural safety & inclusion, Rainbow Awareness and more. All new staff receive full induction, and they hold regular team meetings and provide ongoing professional development.
