Based in the heart of the Kimberley region this is a busy service town for surrounding Aboriginal communities and travelers exploring northern Western Australia. Family accommodation can be provided if you would like to take a working holiday and share this experience. This town is the gateway to a range of world renowned natural attractions, including the World Heritage listed Bungle Bungle ranges of Purnululu National Park and Wolfe Creek Meteorite Crater (the second largest on earth with a diameter of 850 meters). 1200 kms from Darwin, 700 kms from Broome and 1050 kms to Alice Springs, this town offers you the opportunity to explore more of the beautiful Australian outback in your spare time.
You will be based in town but once a fortnight you will be given the opportunity to fly out to one of the remote communities for the day. The clinic hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 4.30pm with no weekends or on-call required. This is a multidisciplinary team and you will be supported by experienced nurses and Indigenous health staff. The software used is MMEX. As this role is based in a remote Aboriginal community previous experience working with Indigenous patients would be advantageous.
