In this role you will fly out to a community or station on the Monday morning, spend 4 days/3 nights in the community then fly back to Alice Springs. Friday you will catch up with the team and any administration requirements before having the weekend free to enjoy Alice Springs and the surrounding area. Each community will be in a remote location and you will either fly or 4WD there (4WD training can be provided if necessary). This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit remote communities and help provide primary care to the residents of these towns.
You will work Monday – Friday with no weekends. The practices are open from 8.30am – 4.30pm and there is no on-call requirement. This is provided by the nurses and indigenous health workers who are first on-call, followed by an offsite Medical Officer and the RFDS. The clinics are manned by experienced practice managers, nurses, health workers and administration staff who make visiting GP’s very welcome. PICS software is used and training can be provided on this.

- FRACGP or equivalent.
